On Wednesday, September 22nd 2021, St. Coletta named its DC school building after retired CEO Sharon Raimo in recognition of 28 years of leading St. Coletta and her long career of advocating for people with disabilities. Councilmen Vince Gray and Charles Allen spoke, as well as Dr. Michelle Walker-Davis, Executive Director of DC Charter School Board.

In her 28 years of tireless work, our former Chief Executive Officer, Sharon B. Raimo led St. Coletta of Greater Washington to become one of the top special education providers in the nation. She advocated incessantly for students and adults with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities, many with additional physical and behavioral challenges. Her hard work has not gone unnoticed in the DC Metro Area, and her efforts have left countless families grateful to her for creating a space where their loved ones can thrive.
